How Rithmic Prop Firms Add NinjaTrader Without Tradovate Accounts
Several Rithmic-only prop firms let traders use NinjaTrader 8 on their existing logins, skipped the Tradovate route, and reported 900% higher account sales.

A Rithmic prop firm does not need Tradovate accounts to offer NinjaTrader 8. Several Rithmic-only futures prop firms let their traders connect the Rithmic logins they already had, and reported a 900% increase in account sales. The full breakdown is in the prop firm case study.
Where these firms started
They sold Rithmic accounts on the standard Rithmic platforms, such as Quantower and TradeSea. Their traders kept asking for NinjaTrader, because their indicators, workspaces and strategies live there.
NinjaTrader’s connection guide says the desktop app is “compatible with several prop firm/evaluation services” over Rithmic or Tradovate. Several is not all. NinjaTrader did not connect these firms’ Rithmic accounts on its own, and our connectivity census tracks which Rithmic firms have a native route. For a prop firm without one, the official way to offer NinjaTrader is Tradovate accounts.
Rithmic vs Tradovate: two routes to NinjaTrader
| Add Tradovate accounts | Partner with PropFirmConnector | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to launch | 6 to 12 months of due diligence with NinjaTrader, with delays common | Hours |
| Approval | Not guaranteed. Some firms are declined. | Request access today |
| Data feed | A second, separate feed | The existing Rithmic feed |
| Risk management | A second risk system run alongside the Rithmic one | The existing Rithmic risk system |
| Account types | New account types to build and sell | None. Traders use the Rithmic logins they already have. |
| Trader support | The firm’s to staff | PropFirmConnector handles NinjaTrader connection support |
The Tradovate timelines are what prop firms have told us about the approval process. Yours may differ.
What the firms did instead
Every firm in the case study uses the License API. The firm buys licenses at discounted pricing and issues them from its own website, so traders never see a separate checkout.
- Request API access. Pricing is agreed per firm.
- Let an AI assistant build it. The License API is three endpoints with an OpenAPI spec and a Markdown reference. Developers feed those to an AI coding assistant, and the integration can be running within hours.
- Switch it on for every trader. Traders install the add-on and sign in with the Rithmic login they already have.
Nothing else changed: no new account types, the same Rithmic feed, the same risk management system, and no added support load.
The result
Account sales rose 900%. Traders who had been asking for NinjaTrader could finally trade these firms’ accounts in it.
Figures are reported by the partner firms, and results vary by firm.
Ask your traders first
A prop firm can test demand before building anything. Post this poll in your Discord:
Would you trade your Rithmic account with us in NinjaTrader?
- Yes, I want NinjaTrader
- No, I am happy with my current platform
If they say yes, the case study shows the whole integration, and the partner overview compares the three ways to offer PropFirmConnector.
If you are a trader or a vendor
- Traders: if your firm issues Rithmic credentials, you can connect them to NinjaTrader 8 today. Find your firm in the connection guides or the Rithmic prop firm list. To tell a Rithmic account from a Tradovate one, see Rithmic vs Tradovate accounts.
- NinjaTrader vendors and communities: most choose the affiliate program. Your users get a discount and you earn a revenue share, with nothing to build.
PropFirmConnector is an independent add-on. NinjaTrader, Tradovate and Rithmic do not endorse or sponsor it.
PropFirmConnector publishes this article and sells the Rithmic connection add-on described on this site.
