Set up
Connect your AI app in three steps.
Any AI app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex. Setup options depend on the app and your plan.

Add the server
In your AI app’s connector or MCP settings, add the server URL and choose OAuth sign-in. No API key is needed.

Sign in and choose permissions
Sign in with your vendor administrator email and authenticator. Check the requesting app and vendor account, choose what the app can do, then select Connect.

Start prompting
Ask your app to show the connected vendor, then work with customers. The app appears under AI connections in Vendor Admin.
Security
Built for customer data you are responsible for.
Connections use your Vendor Admin sign-in, so there is no API key to copy, share or leak.
You stay in control
- Each connection belongs to one administrator and one vendor account, and expires after 30 days.
- You choose what each app can do when you connect it, and can disconnect it at any time under AI connections.
- Owners see every administrator’s apps. They can pause all AI connections, or turn off AI changes and keep read access.
- Removing an administrator, revoking their sign-in sessions or removing their authenticator also stops their apps.
- Every request is recorded in your audit log.
What your AI app receives
- Data the permissions you grant can read, such as customer emails and license details, is sent to the app and processed by the AI provider that runs it. Grant only what you need, and check the provider’s data terms.
- New discount codes and installer links are returned to the app so it can pass them to the right customer. Installer links expire after 5 minutes.
- Your pricing, revision and eligibility rules apply exactly as they do through the API. Lifetime grants, where offered, are permanent and may create a vendor charge.
- Your AI app may ask you to confirm before it runs a change.

Your vendor’s enabled products and the permissions you grant decide which tools appear. Each write takes a request ID, so a retry of the same change is safe.

Common questions
Does the MCP server replace the License API?
No. It is an alternative way in for AI agents. Build the License API into your website so traders get NinjaTrader access the moment they check out, whether you sell one license a month or hundreds. Use the MCP server so your team can check and change access by prompting.
Do changes made by prompting apply immediately?
Yes. Activations, deactivations, email moves, plan upgrades and new discount codes apply as soon as the AI app calls the tool, exactly like an API call. There is no separate approval step.
Which AI apps can connect?
Apps that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex. Setup options depend on the app and your plan. The commands on this page connect the Codex CLI from a terminal.
Do we need a developer to use it?
No. A vendor administrator adds the server URL to their AI app and signs in. A developer builds the License API integration for your website.
We also use the License API. Can both work together?
Yes, with nothing to change in your integration. A change made by prompting never uses one of your server’s revisions, so its next update still applies. That update keeps an email move or lifetime upgrade made by prompting unless your own data changed it, and a cancellation lasts until your server next sends active: true. With webhooks enabled, your server also receives an event for each cancellation or email change.
Can we turn it off?
Yes. Disconnect any app under AI connections. Owners can pause every AI connection in the organization, or turn off AI changes and keep read access.
Can a prop firm that is not a partner yet connect?
Connecting needs a vendor account with API access. Request access and we will set up your account and pricing. Every API partner can connect the MCP server.
