Savants Trading: Automated Futures Strategies in NinjaTrader

Savants Trading develops automated futures strategies that run inside NinjaTrader 8. Each strategy needs an account and configuration; trading across several prop-firm accounts also requires account connections and a separate execution setup.

Rules-based execution inside NinjaTrader 8

Savants’ team describes a background in trading and C#/.NET development.

Savants’ installation guide uses NinjaTrader’s NinjaScript import and chart-strategy workflow: import the strategy, open the relevant chart, select the strategy and account, apply a template, and enable it. Installation alone does not configure every account in the workspace.

Automation still needs supervision of connectivity, working orders, account exposure and platform state. A strategy can follow its rules exactly and lose money or breach account limits. Simulated or historical results do not establish future results; review Savants’ risk disclosure before use.

Savants’ published Elite catalog spans equity-index futures, metals, energy, bonds, currency futures and crypto futures. Listed symbols include NQ/MNQ, ES/MES, GC/MGC, SI, ZB, CL, 6E, 6J, 6A, FDXM, MBT and ETH. The market gallery below uses the supplied instrument artwork.

One Rithmic login can expose several accounts. NinjaTrader’s standard connection restricts simultaneous independent Rithmic logins; PropFirmConnector enables multiple logins in one NinjaTrader 8 instance and connects Rithmic accounts without a native firm connection option. A single existing native connection may already cover your needs; using Savants alone does not require PropFirmConnector.

Savants also lists third-party copiers. A strategy purchase does not automatically mirror orders to every connected account. Configure a copier’s leader and followers or independent strategy instances, and check for duplicate-order paths. Accounts using the same strategy can receive different fills.

A practical setup checklist

1. Check the account rules. Confirm that the firm allows your intended automation and copying arrangement, and identify contract and risk limits.
2. Connect the right accounts. Confirm each account’s feed, Rithmic System and credentials. Check the account names visible in NinjaTrader before enabling anything.
3. Install and configure the strategy. Follow Savants’ current instructions for the chosen instrument, chart, account and template.
4. Choose the execution arrangement. Configure each strategy instance or the copier’s leader and followers; make position sizing explicit for each account.
5. Validate in simulation first. Observe entries, stops, targets, position sizing and disconnect behavior before considering a funded or live account.

Connecting an account does not change the firm’s rules, remove its risk limits, or validate a strategy’s profitability.
