NinjaTrader's Legacy Forum Is Offline: How to Find the Old Threads

To recover an old NinjaTrader forum thread, paste its original URL into the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine and choose a saved capture. The legacy forum homepage redirects to NinjaTrader’s Discourse forum. If an old thread link no longer opens, an archived copy may still be available; coverage is incomplete.

What happened to forum.ninjatrader.com

Our August 9, 2026 report found that legacy forum links no longer opened their original threads. The July 8, 2026 archive captures provide a reference point before that report. We did not locate an official retirement announcement, so these observations do not establish an exact shutdown date.

The legacy homepage’s redirect to Discourse was rechecked September 15, 2026. Use Discourse for new questions and the Wayback Machine to look for older discussions.

How to find an archived thread

1. Copy the original thread URL. Use the address from your bookmark, search result, or old link, rather than the Discourse address it redirects to.
2. Open the Wayback Machine and paste that URL into its search box. Choose Browse History and select a capture from the calendar. You can also use https://web.archive.org/web/*/ followed by the full original URL.
3. Choose a working capture. The Internet Archive explains that blue calendar dots indicate a successful response; green dots indicate redirects. If a capture only shows the new forum or an error, try an earlier date.
4. If you only remember the topic, search for the thread title or error text plus site:forum.ninjatrader.com. If a result remains, copy its original address and repeat the archive search.

An archived thread may be missing later pages, screenshots, or attachments. Check each page’s capture date: following a link can move you to a different date or the live web. The Archive cannot guarantee that a particular URL was saved.

What it means for NinjaTrader and Rithmic traders

An archived answer documents an older setup. Before following connection instructions, compare its NinjaTrader version, data feed, and account type with yours. Use your firm’s current onboarding instructions and the dated Rithmic connection guides for the applicable route.

For a Rithmic connection problem, start with the current login checks and support details to collect. For an unresolved issue, post the exact error and platform version on the current Discourse forum. An archived thread can provide context, but its instructions should not be treated as current platform policy.

Correction — September 15, 2026: The original article overstated the behavior of every legacy URL and the likelihood that popular threads were archived. This version limits the redirect claim to the checked homepage and uses the Archive’s capture calendar instead of implying a year-only URL selects the last working copy.
