Rithmic Login for a Prop Firm Account, Field by Field
The four fields a prop-firm Rithmic login needs — username, password, System, gateway — with the values five firms publish for their own accounts.
On this page
A prop-firm Rithmic login is four values: the Rithmic username and password your firm issued — usually not your dashboard login — plus the right System entry and, in most Rithmic platforms, a gateway choice. Every firm documents its own set, and mixing them up is the most common reason a paid-for account never connects.
The four values look interchangeable on a login screen. They are not, and the firms themselves say so — five of them in enough detail to map below, each checked against the firm’s own documentation on August 19, 2026.
What each field actually is
Username and password. These are Rithmic data-feed credentials, created when the firm provisions your account. At most firms they are separate from the website login you chose at checkout; at some they deliberately overlap. NinjaTrader’s own connection guide is explicit about whose credentials go in the form: “Enter the Rithmic Username and Password you received from your Prop Firm/Evaluation Service Provider.”
System. Rithmic runs many separate systems, and every front-end that speaks to Rithmic — NinjaTrader, R|Trader Pro, Quantower, the rest — asks which one your account lives on. A handful of firms have their own named entry; most sit on a shared system called Rithmic Paper Trading. NinjaTrader’s guide covers both cases: select your provider’s System from the dropdown, and “if your provider is not listed in the System dropdown, select the ‘Rithmic Paper Trading’ system nearest to your location.”
Gateway. Most Rithmic platforms also ask for a gateway or server region. Firms consistently document Chicago Area for US traders — Apex’s setup article says to “choose the Area closest to you,” and Tradeify’s R|Trader Pro guide recommends Chicago Area “for most US-based traders.”
The credential map, in each firm’s own words
Every value in this table comes from the named firm’s own help article, verified the day this post was written. Firms edit these pages without notice — TradeDay’s was modified the same morning we checked it — so treat the firm’s page as the live source and this table as the map to it.
| Firm | Username and password | System / gateway the firm documents |
|---|---|---|
| Apex Trader Funding | Rithmic credentials in the welcome email or under Rithmic Account in the dashboard (tick “Show Password” before copying) | System APEX; gateway: the area closest to you |
| Earn2Trade | Arrive by a separate “Rithmic Data Feed Credentials Created” email after purchase | Server “Rithmic Paper Trading-Chicago Area-Non-Aggregated” |
| Leeloo Trading | Rithmic User ID beginning “LL” plus digits — the firm warns they are zeros, not the letter O — separate from your membership login | Documented per platform in Leeloo’s connection guides |
| TradeDay | Your TradeDay username with the TD_ prefix included, and your TradeDay password | System Rithmic Paper Trading; gateway Chicago Area |
| Tradeify | Rithmic credentials in the dashboard under account details — only if the account was purchased with Rithmic as the broker | System Name Tradeify (per its R |
Three quirks in that table cause most of the login failures we see:
- Two credential sets that look alike. Leeloo publishes a whole article distinguishing its membership login from the Rithmic User ID, and warns that the Rithmic password is sent once at first purchase and never re-sent — renewals re-send the User ID only. Apex’s credentials likewise live in a specific dashboard section, not behind your member password.
- One credential set where you expect two. TradeDay reuses your dashboard username and password on Rithmic — but only if you include the TD_ prefix on the username. Testing “my dashboard login doesn’t work on Rithmic” proves nothing at a firm built this way.
- Credentials scoped to a broker choice. Tradeify sells accounts with Rithmic, Tradovate, or WealthCharts as the broker, chosen at checkout, and its guide is blunt that R|Trader Pro connects with Rithmic credentials only. The same firm name on the invoice does not mean the login is a Rithmic login.
The per-firm connection guides carry this same detail for every firm we verify — the Apex guide and the Leeloo guide are the two most-read examples — and the Rithmic firm directory shows which firms issue Rithmic credentials at all.
Do the agreements before the login
Two firms in the table say the same thing in different words: a fresh Rithmic account cannot trade until the Rithmic market-data agreements are signed. Apex requires signing “the two (2) mandatory agreements shown for ALL NEW USERS upon first login,” and Earn2Trade lists accepting the exchange agreements as its own numbered step before connecting a platform. Earn2Trade adds a timing warning worth knowing everywhere: credentials created during off-market hours may simply not work until the market reopens. A login that fails on day one is very often an unprovisioned or un-agreed account, not a wrong password.
Once the login works
Getting all four fields right proves your Rithmic account works. Whether it reaches NinjaTrader is a separate question, because prop firms issue accounts on more than one connection track and only some of them lead to NinjaTrader. If you are not sure which one you bought, Rithmic vs Tradovate vs CQG covers how to tell them apart.
For a Rithmic account specifically, NinjaTrader connects some firms’ logins natively, one at a time, while at many others PropFirmConnector is what supplies the connection: install the add-on, select your firm, and sign in with the same credentials from the table above. The per-firm connection guides cover what each firm needs.
One NinjaTrader limit belongs in any credentials discussion, because it bites multi-account traders whatever their firm: NinjaTrader’s guide states that “it is not possible to maintain two simultaneous Rithmic connections on the NinjaTrader Desktop app.” A second set of perfectly valid Rithmic credentials has nowhere to go. PropFirmConnector also resolves that, keeping several Rithmic logins connected in a single NinjaTrader instance.
Common questions
Which username do I use for a prop-firm Rithmic login? The Rithmic username the firm issued for the trading account — at most firms that is not your website login. Apex and Tradeify put it in the dashboard, Earn2Trade sends it by a dedicated email, Leeloo generates an LL-prefixed User ID, and TradeDay reuses your dashboard username with a TD_ prefix.
What System do I select for my prop firm? Whatever the firm documents. Apex documents System APEX and Tradeify documents Tradeify; TradeDay and Earn2Trade document the shared Rithmic Paper Trading system with a Chicago-area gateway. If your firm is not in a dropdown, NinjaTrader’s guide says to pick the Rithmic Paper Trading system nearest your location.
My firm offers both Tradovate and Rithmic — which one do I have? Check what you were issued. A Tradovate-track account uses Tradovate credentials; a Rithmic-track account uses the firm-issued Rithmic username and password described above. Rithmic vs Tradovate vs CQG works through the differences.
Why does my Rithmic login work in R|Trader Pro but not in NinjaTrader? Usually because your firm has published no NinjaTrader route for its Rithmic accounts — the login is fine; the path is missing. That is a property of the track, not a broken account, and it can be true even at a firm whose Tradovate accounts use NinjaTrader every day. Check your firm’s own platform list, then its connection guide for whether PropFirmConnector supplies that path.
Why did my Rithmic credentials stop arriving? At Leeloo, that is by design: the password is sent once with the first account and renewals repeat only the User ID, so the firm tells traders to save it. Other firms keep credentials permanently visible in the dashboard.
My brand-new credentials are rejected — wrong password? Not necessarily. Unsigned Rithmic agreements block trading at Apex and Earn2Trade alike, and Earn2Trade warns that accounts purchased during off-market hours may not activate until the market opens. Sign the agreements, wait for market hours, then retest before resetting anything.
