Your P1 Futures Rithmic account and login

P1 Futures describes TradeSea as its trading platform and Rithmic as the underlying connection. These steps use that Rithmic login directly in NinjaTrader 8 through PropFirmConnector. They do not require TradeSea to stay open.

P1’s terms define both evaluation and funded accounts as simulated. P1 Instant starts at the simulated funded stage. Keep the Paper Trading setting for these programs; Rithmic 01 is for a separately issued real-live Rithmic account.

For copying, P1’s FAQ permits your own manually placed trades to be copied between P1 accounts you own and control. It prohibits copying another person’s trades and independently automated trading. PropFirmConnector supplies the connections; a separate copier submits follower orders. Connecting accounts from different firms does not extend P1’s copying permission to that workflow.

Where to find your P1 Futures Rithmic login

Sign in to your P1 Futures dashboard and obtain the Rithmic trading username and password issued for the account. If the account details show only a TradeSea sign-in, ask P1 Futures for the underlying Rithmic credentials. Do not substitute your P1 website password.

How to connect P1 Futures to NinjaTrader 8 in 5 steps

  1. Get your P1 Futures Rithmic login and activate the account

    Sign in to your P1 Futures dashboard and obtain the Rithmic trading username and password issued for the account. If the account details show only a TradeSea sign-in, ask P1 Futures for the underlying Rithmic credentials. Do not substitute your P1 website password. Sign in to R|Trader Pro on Rithmic Paper Trading with the Chicago gateway, accept any pending market-data agreements, and confirm your expected account appears. R|Trader Pro does not need to remain open for the direct PropFirmConnector setup.

  2. Install PropFirmConnector

    From your PropFirmConnector account, download PropFirmConnector.zip and close NinjaTrader completely. Extract the ZIP, then copy NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll to My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Start NinjaTrader again and, when your browser opens, click Activate this device.

  3. Open NinjaTrader 8 and sign in

    Start NinjaTrader 8 and sign in with your NinjaTrader account credentials when prompted. These are your NinjaTrader credentials, not the Rithmic username and password issued by P1 Futures.

  4. Configure Rithmic for P1 Futures

    In NinjaTrader Control Center, open Connections, then configure. Select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage, name the connection P1 Futures, enter the firm-issued Rithmic username and password, and set System to Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago). Leave Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off, then click OK.

  5. Connect to P1 Futures

    Open Connections again and click the connection name you just created. A green status indicator and the account appearing in NinjaTrader confirm the connection.

If your P1 Futures connection is not working

Should Plug-in mode be on or off?
Off. Plug-in mode shares a running R|Trader Pro session with NinjaTrader, which is a different setup from PropFirmConnector’s direct connection. In Connections > Configure, select your Rithmic connection, uncheck Plug-in mode, click OK and connect again. Some firm and Rithmic instructions turn it on for their R|Trader Pro workflow; leave it off for PropFirmConnector.
The connection is green, but the account isn’t in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab.
Your NinjaTrader login is probably missing the general Rithmic entitlement, so the Accounts tab often shows only Sim101. In NinjaTrader, open Help > About. The Entitlements line should say Evaluation (Rithmic); if it doesn’t, the connection can turn green without showing your accounts. Older NinjaTrader accounts don’t have this entitlement by default, but newly registered accounts do. The fix is in your NinjaTrader account, not in Rithmic or your firm’s dashboard, and you only do it once.

If Evaluation (Rithmic) is missing:

  • Import this license key at account.ninjatrader.com: click your initials, then Settings > Plans > Import license key. Paste the key, click Import, then close and restart NinjaTrader.

  • No Import license key button, or still missing? Trading mainly with prop firms? Your NinjaTrader login doesn’t matter, so the fastest fix is to create a new NinjaTrader account with a different email and sign in with it.
  • Keeping your current login, for example because it has a live account on it? Email platformsupport@ninjatrader.com with your NinjaTrader username and ask them to enable the general Rithmic entitlement.

The P1 dashboard works, but the Rithmic login is rejected.
Use the firm-issued Rithmic trading username and password, preserving capitalization and removing extra spaces. Sign in to R|Trader Pro on Rithmic Paper Trading with the Chicago gateway and complete pending agreements. If those credentials fail there too, ask P1 to check the login and account access.

The account disappears after changing to Rithmic 01.
For the P1 simulated programs described here, restore Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago). Funded status, P1 Instant or a payout does not make the account real-live. Confirm that the intended account appears in R|Trader Pro before reconnecting NinjaTrader.
The connection is working, but a copier or strategy behaves differently than expected.
Check the selected leader and followers, copier configuration and each account’s limits. P1’s manual-copying permission does not authorize independent automated strategies. Stop the affected workflow until its configuration and permission are clear.

Q Which P1 credentials belong in NinjaTrader?

Use the Rithmic trading username and password issued for the account. Your P1 website login and NinjaTrader application login serve different purposes. If the dashboard only shows a TradeSea sign-in, request the underlying Rithmic credentials from P1.

Q How many P1 accounts can I connect?

P1’s published limit is five active funded accounts per person and per household. That is an account limit, not a requirement for five logins. Several accounts under one Rithmic username use one connection; separate usernames use separate saved connections. PropFirmConnector can keep those connections open together.

Q Can I copy trades between P1 and another firm?

P1’s FAQ describes copying your manually placed trades between your own P1 accounts. Confirm any proposed cross-firm copying with P1 before enabling it. The ability to connect both accounts through PropFirmConnector does not establish permission to copy between them.
