Your YRM Prop Rithmic account and login
YRM’s linked help center and the two setup articles cited in our September 18 review return 404 as of October 8, 2026. Ask YRM to confirm the status and feed of your existing account before using these steps.
The steps retain the Rithmic route documented September 18 and the owner-confirmed Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago) setting. They require an active Rithmic login. The earlier Tradovate route is separate; ask YRM for current instructions if your account uses that feed.

How to connect YRM Prop to NinjaTrader 8 in 5 steps

Get your YRM Prop Rithmic login and activate the account
For an existing YRM account, obtain or confirm the issued Rithmic trading username and password with YRM. The September 18 TradeSea guide distinguished these from website and dxFeed logins, but that help article is currently unavailable. Confirm that the account is active before configuring NinjaTrader. Sign in to R|Trader Pro on Rithmic Paper Trading with the Chicago gateway, accept any pending market-data agreements, and confirm your expected account appears. R|Trader Pro does not need to remain open for the direct PropFirmConnector setup.

Install PropFirmConnector
From your PropFirmConnector account, download PropFirmConnector.zip and close NinjaTrader completely. Extract the ZIP, then copy NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll to My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Start NinjaTrader again and, when your browser opens, click Activate this device.
Start NinjaTrader 8 and sign in with your NinjaTrader account credentials when prompted. These are your NinjaTrader credentials, not the Rithmic username and password issued by YRM Prop.

Configure Rithmic for YRM Prop
In NinjaTrader Control Center, open Connections, then configure. Select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage, name the connection YRM Prop, enter the firm-issued Rithmic username and password, and set System to Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago). Leave Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off, then click OK.

Connect to YRM Prop
Open Connections again and click the connection name you just created. A green status indicator and the account appearing in NinjaTrader confirm the connection.

If your YRM Prop connection is not working
Should Plug-in mode be on or off?
Off. Plug-in mode shares a running R|Trader Pro session with NinjaTrader, which is a different setup from PropFirmConnector’s direct connection. In Connections > Configure, select your Rithmic connection, uncheck Plug-in mode, click OK and connect again. Some firm and Rithmic instructions turn it on for their R|Trader Pro workflow; leave it off for PropFirmConnector.
The connection is green, but the account isn’t in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab.
Your NinjaTrader login is probably missing the general Rithmic entitlement, so the Accounts tab often shows only Sim101. In NinjaTrader, open Help > About. The Entitlements line should say Evaluation (Rithmic); if it doesn’t, the connection can turn green without showing your accounts. Older NinjaTrader accounts don’t have this entitlement by default, but newly registered accounts do. The fix is in your NinjaTrader account, not in Rithmic or your firm’s dashboard, and you only do it once. Correct: Entitlements lists Evaluation (Rithmic). Machine ID and User are hidden.
If Evaluation (Rithmic) is missing:
Import this license key at account.ninjatrader.com: click your initials, then Settings > Plans > Import license key. Paste the key, click Import, then close and restart NinjaTrader.

No Import license key button, or still missing? Trading mainly with prop firms? Your NinjaTrader login doesn’t matter, so the fastest fix is to create a new NinjaTrader account with a different email and sign in with it.
Keeping your current login, for example because it has a live account on it? Email platformsupport@ninjatrader.com with your NinjaTrader username and ask them to enable the general Rithmic entitlement.
Use the instructions supplied for that account route. This guide requires the Rithmic username and password issued for a YRM TradeSea account; the feeds and credentials cannot be substituted.
The Rithmic connection rejects my login.
Use the Rithmic trading credentials issued by YRM Prop, preserving capitalization and avoiding extra spaces. A website or TradeSea sign-in is not necessarily the Rithmic trading login. If only platform sign-in details are available, ask the firm for the underlying Rithmic credentials before continuing.
I cannot find YRM Prop in the System dropdown.
Choose Rithmic Paper Trading (Chicago). The firm name is the name you give your connection, not a required named System option.
The account or market data is missing.
Check that the active YRM Prop account appears in R|Trader Pro and that all required agreements are complete. If it is missing there too, ask the firm to check account provisioning. If it appears there, verify PropFirmConnector device activation, the saved credentials, and the System setting in NinjaTrader.

Choose the actual issued YRM trading account after connecting. The Rithmic Paper Trading system identifies the environment; it does not select the account you want to trade.
