Gooey Trade Connection Guide to NinjaTrader 8

PropFirmConnector connects any Rithmic account to NinjaTrader 8. Confirm which organization issued your trading account and whether it supplied a Rithmic login. Gooey Trade offers several platforms, and their credentials are not interchangeable. For your Rithmic login, use the exact System and gateway provided by your account issuer.

How to connect Gooey Trade to NinjaTrader 8 in 5 steps

  1. Verify your account and Rithmic login

    Ask the organization that issued your trading account to confirm its data feed and provide the Rithmic username, password, System and gateway. For a Rithmic account, sign in to R|Trader Pro, accept any pending agreements and confirm the expected account appears, then follow the PropFirmConnector setup below.

  2. Install PropFirmConnector

    From your PropFirmConnector account, download PropFirmConnector.zip and close NinjaTrader completely. Extract the ZIP, then copy NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll to My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Start NinjaTrader again and, when your browser opens, click Activate this device.

  3. Open NinjaTrader 8 and sign in

    Start NinjaTrader 8 and sign in with your NinjaTrader account credentials when prompted. These are separate from the Rithmic credentials issued for your trading account.

  4. Configure your confirmed Rithmic route

    In the NinjaTrader Control Center, select Connections, then configure. Select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage, enter the active Rithmic credentials supplied for your trading account, and give the connection a recognizable name. Leave Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off. Use the exact System confirmed by your account issuer; if that System is not available or remains unclear, resolve it with the issuer before connecting. The screenshot illustrates the interface, not a verified System for your Gooey Trade account.

  5. Connect and verify your account

    Open Connections and select the connection name you created. Confirm a green status indicator and that the expected account appears. The example connection name in the screenshot is only a label; it does not verify a particular Gooey Trade account or account type.

If your Gooey Trade connection is not working

Should Plug-in mode be on or off?
Off. Plug-in mode shares a running R|Trader Pro session with NinjaTrader, which is a different setup from PropFirmConnector’s direct connection. In Connections > Configure, select your Rithmic connection, uncheck Plug-in mode, click OK and connect again. Some firm and Rithmic instructions turn it on for their R|Trader Pro workflow; leave it off for PropFirmConnector.
The connection is green, but the account isn’t in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab.
Your NinjaTrader login is probably missing the general Rithmic entitlement, so the Accounts tab often shows only Sim101. In NinjaTrader, open Help > About. The Entitlements line should say Evaluation (Rithmic); if it doesn’t, the connection can turn green without showing your accounts. Older NinjaTrader accounts don’t have this entitlement by default, but newly registered accounts do. The fix is in your NinjaTrader account, not in Rithmic or your firm’s dashboard, and you only do it once.

If Evaluation (Rithmic) is missing:

  • Import this license key at account.ninjatrader.com: click your initials, then Settings > Plans > Import license key. Paste the key, click Import, then close and restart NinjaTrader.

  • No Import license key button, or still missing? Trading mainly with prop firms? Your NinjaTrader login doesn’t matter, so the fastest fix is to create a new NinjaTrader account with a different email and sign in with it.
  • Keeping your current login, for example because it has a live account on it? Email platformsupport@ninjatrader.com with your NinjaTrader username and ask them to enable the general Rithmic entitlement.

My Gooey-branded platform login does not work in R|Trader Pro.
Confirm that the account was actually provisioned on Rithmic and obtain its separate Rithmic credentials. Gooey Trade offers access to multiple platforms; a login for one is not evidence that the same account is available through Rithmic.
I do not know whether to select a paper or live System.
Ask the organization that issued the account for the exact System and gateway. Neither the Gooey Trade name nor its FE/IB directory classification determines that setting for an individual account.

Q Is Gooey Trade a prop firm, broker or platform provider?

Gooey Trade describes its service as platform administration for prop firms. Rithmic lists it under both funding evaluators and introducing brokers. Check who issued your account and its actual connection feed; these directory roles do not establish one account offering or setup for everyone.

Q Can I use GooeyPro or another Gooey platform login in NinjaTrader?

PropFirmConnector connects any Rithmic account to NinjaTrader 8. Ask your account issuer for the Rithmic credentials and System. A GooeyPro or other platform login is separate and cannot replace a Rithmic login.

Q Which Rithmic System should I select?

Use the exact System confirmed by your account issuer. The cited public pages do not establish one System for every Gooey Trade account. Do not guess between Rithmic Paper Trading and Rithmic 01 from a provider name or directory category.

Q Does every Gooey Trade account require PropFirmConnector?

PropFirmConnector works with every Rithmic account and lets you connect separate Rithmic logins in one NinjaTrader instance. A single login may already have a native NinjaTrader connection. Gooey accounts on other data feeds use their own platform instructions.
