Your Halcyon Trader Funding Rithmic account and login

Check the provider and account stage in the instructions Halcyon issued. A Rithmic login and a dxFeed login use different platform instructions. Halcyon’s live onboarding supplies credentials separately; a broker name alone does not identify the connection feed.

The walkthrough below is for the issued HalcyonTrader System. For a real live Rithmic login, follow the separate live-account row instead.

Halcyon Rithmic evaluation or simulated Reward account

NinjaTrader’s built-in Rithmic System list does not include HalcyonTrader.

PropFirmConnector: Required for NinjaTrader 8. Select HalcyonTrader with the Rithmic User ID and password issued by Halcyon.

Trader Live Training (TLT)

Halcyon describes TLT as a simulated trading stage, separate from a real live brokerage account.

PropFirmConnector: Follow the feed, credentials and System issued for this stage. Use HalcyonTrader when those Rithmic instructions specify it; do not switch to Rithmic 01 because the program name says Live.

Halcyon dxFeed account

Halcyon promotes DeepCharts with its Volumetrica accounts. Its dxFeed help page also lists ATAS and Quantower. Use the separate dxFeed credentials and platform instructions.

PropFirmConnector: Not applicable: PropFirmConnector connects Rithmic logins and does not convert a dxFeed account.

Approved real live brokerage account

Halcyon lists Ironbeam for live accounts and issues live credentials and platform access after brokerage onboarding. The Ironbeam name alone does not establish that your login uses Rithmic.

PropFirmConnector: If the issued account is real live Rithmic, PropFirmConnector connects it with Rithmic 01 (Chicago). Otherwise, use the provider instructions issued with the live account.

Where to find your Halcyon Rithmic login

Use the trading User ID and password from Halcyon’s “Your Rithmic Credentials” email, not your website sign-in. For the Rithmic route shown here, the Server is HalcyonTrader. Copy the full User ID exactly as issued and check for new credentials when your account stage changes.

How to connect Halcyon Trader Funding to NinjaTrader 8 in 5 steps

Confirm the account feed and complete its agreements

Use these steps for an active Halcyon Rithmic login whose issued System is HalcyonTrader. A dxFeed login needs its own provider instructions. Complete the agreements and trader-status self-certification requested in your credentials email using the status that applies to you. Then close R|Trader Pro if you used it for activation; the direct PropFirmConnector setup does not require it to stay open.
Install PropFirmConnector

From your PropFirmConnector account, download PropFirmConnector.zip and close NinjaTrader completely. Extract the ZIP, then copy NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll to My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Start NinjaTrader again and, when your browser opens, click Activate this device.

Open NinjaTrader 8 and sign in

Start NinjaTrader 8 and sign in with your NinjaTrader account credentials when prompted. These are your NinjaTrader credentials, not the Rithmic username and password issued by Halcyon Trader Funding.
Configure Rithmic for Halcyon Trader Funding

In the NinjaTrader Control Center, select Connections, then configure. Select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage from the Available list on the left, enter the Rithmic username and password issued by Halcyon Trader Funding, give the connection a recognizable name, leave Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off, and select HalcyonTrader for System.

Connect to Halcyon Trader Funding

Open Connections again and click the connection name you just created. A green status indicator and the account appearing in NinjaTrader confirm the connection.

If your Halcyon Trader Funding connection is not working

Should Plug-in mode be on or off?

Off. Plug-in mode shares a running R|Trader Pro session with NinjaTrader, which is a different setup from PropFirmConnector’s direct connection. In Connections > Configure, select your Rithmic connection, uncheck Plug-in mode, click OK and connect again. Some firm and Rithmic instructions turn it on for their R|Trader Pro workflow; leave it off for PropFirmConnector.

The connection is green, but the account isn’t in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab.

Your NinjaTrader login is probably missing the general Rithmic entitlement, so the Accounts tab often shows only Sim101. In NinjaTrader, open Help > About. The Entitlements line should say Evaluation (Rithmic); if it doesn’t, the connection can turn green without showing your accounts. Older NinjaTrader accounts don’t have this entitlement by default, but newly registered accounts do. The fix is in your NinjaTrader account, not in Rithmic or your firm’s dashboard, and you only do it once.

If Evaluation (Rithmic) is missing:

Import this license key at account.ninjatrader.com: click your initials, then Settings > Plans > Import license key. Paste the key, click Import, then close and restart NinjaTrader.

No Import license key button, or still missing? Trading mainly with prop firms? Your NinjaTrader login doesn’t matter, so the fastest fix is to create a new NinjaTrader account with a different email and sign in with it.

Rithmic rejects your Halcyon login.

Copy the complete trading User ID and password from the credentials email, finish any pending agreements and use the issued System. A failed login alone does not establish the account’s feed or status.

Trader Live Training is mentioned, but no real live Rithmic account has been issued.

TLT is simulated. Keep the provider and System specified in its account instructions; changing to Rithmic 01 does not make a simulated account live. Confirm any newly issued login with Halcyon before replacing the old connection.

What changes when a prop firm issues a real live Rithmic account →

Your credentials are for dxFeed.

Use that provider’s platform instructions. PropFirmConnector needs a Rithmic login and cannot turn these credentials into one.

Orders on a continuous contract are rejected.

Halcyon notes that continuous symbols such as ES1! or NQ1! are for charting only. Select the specific contract month and year for the trading instrument.
