Your Legends Trading Rithmic account and login

Legends Trading (thelegendstrading.com) calls its post-challenge stage Master Simulation. That account remains simulated even when the program allows rewards. Use the account’s issued provider and credentials; the word Master is not an instruction to switch to a live Rithmic System.

For an issued Legends Rithmic simulation account, PropFirmConnector supplies the LegendsTrading connection in NinjaTrader 8. A Tradovate account follows its separate activation route. For a real live account, obtain the new provider, credentials and onboarding instructions before changing settings.

Where to find your Legends Rithmic login

Copy the trading username and password issued by Legends for the Rithmic account. Check Trading Account Credentials in the Legends dashboard or the account’s setup instructions. Your dashboard sign-in and NinjaTrader application login are different credentials.

How to connect Legends Trading to NinjaTrader 8 in 5 steps

  1. Activate the issued Legends Rithmic login

    Use the Rithmic trading credentials and account-specific System supplied by Legends to sign in to R|Trader Pro. Complete pending market-data agreements and answer trader-status questions accurately; Non-Professional status depends on eligibility, not which option is cheaper. Confirm the expected account appears, then close R|Trader Pro for the direct PropFirmConnector setup below.

  2. Install PropFirmConnector

    From your PropFirmConnector account, download PropFirmConnector.zip and close NinjaTrader completely. Extract the ZIP, then copy NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll to My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Start NinjaTrader again and, when your browser opens, click Activate this device.

  3. Open NinjaTrader 8 and sign in

    Start NinjaTrader 8 and sign in with your NinjaTrader account credentials when prompted. These are your NinjaTrader credentials, not the Rithmic username and password issued by Legends Trading.

  4. Configure Rithmic for Legends Trading

    In the NinjaTrader Control Center, select Connections, then configure. Select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage from the Available list on the left, enter the Rithmic username and password issued by Legends Trading, give the connection a recognizable name, leave Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off, and select LegendsTrading for System.

  5. Connect to Legends Trading

    Open Connections again and click the connection name you just created. A green status indicator and the account appearing in NinjaTrader confirm the connection.

If your Legends Trading connection is not working

Should Plug-in mode be on or off?
Off. Plug-in mode shares a running R|Trader Pro session with NinjaTrader, which is a different setup from PropFirmConnector’s direct connection. In Connections > Configure, select your Rithmic connection, uncheck Plug-in mode, click OK and connect again. Some firm and Rithmic instructions turn it on for their R|Trader Pro workflow; leave it off for PropFirmConnector.
The connection is green, but the account isn’t in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab.
Your NinjaTrader login is probably missing the general Rithmic entitlement, so the Accounts tab often shows only Sim101. In NinjaTrader, open Help > About. The Entitlements line should say Evaluation (Rithmic); if it doesn’t, the connection can turn green without showing your accounts. Older NinjaTrader accounts don’t have this entitlement by default, but newly registered accounts do. The fix is in your NinjaTrader account, not in Rithmic or your firm’s dashboard, and you only do it once.

If Evaluation (Rithmic) is missing:

  • Import this license key at account.ninjatrader.com: click your initials, then Settings > Plans > Import license key. Paste the key, click Import, then close and restart NinjaTrader.

  • No Import license key button, or still missing? Trading mainly with prop firms? Your NinjaTrader login doesn’t matter, so the fastest fix is to create a new NinjaTrader account with a different email and sign in with it.
  • Keeping your current login, for example because it has a live account on it? Email platformsupport@ninjatrader.com with your NinjaTrader username and ask them to enable the general Rithmic entitlement.

The account credentials are for Tradovate.
Use the account’s Tradovate/NinjaTrader instructions and confirm its platform access with Legends. Entering those credentials into a Rithmic connection will not change the provider.

You moved to Master and are unsure whether to select a live System.
Legends describes its post-challenge stage as Master Simulation. Keep the issued simulation route unless Legends completes separate real live onboarding and provides live credentials. A reward payment or the Master label alone does not establish a live account.

Check the issued trading username, password, provider and System. Complete pending agreements in R|Trader Pro. If the account is missing there too, ask Legends to verify that account’s access. If it appears there but NinjaTrader fails, use the login troubleshooting steps.

You have several Legends accounts and need them alongside another firm.
Count distinct Rithmic usernames, not dashboard account cards. Several accounts may belong to one login. Separate simultaneous Rithmic logins use PropFirmConnector; copying orders additionally needs a copier and permission under each firm’s rules.
